Absolutely Not. I have debilitated Mercury in the Ascendant and am B.Tech in Mechanical, and Maths has also been my best subject.

Debilitation of one planet is too simplistic to impact many aspects.

Jupiter has lost dignity and is giving the results of 8th H ketu in its swakshetram which is why its periods are inflicting misery. Shani bhukti will be challenging, that which is obtained may not be delightful. You'll have to take up things against your will. Mercury bhukti will give good results ...

These are too simplistic generalizations which are best avoided. Venus, Jupiter, Mercury or for that matter even Saturn or Mars are good in the ascendant as long as they are not adverse for that particular ascendant.
