Re: marriage for ambivalent brother

Thank you Pem. I will tell him about this. Currently, my mother does the poojas that you have recommended for him, and I will tell them both that it is better for him to do it.
Thanks for taking the time to explain,

Questions about brother's career

Respected members,

My brother seems stuck in a few aspects of his life. His career seems to have hit a plateau, and with the economy, he is unable to decide whether to change jobs, or if he should stay on and expect a change in the current one. He works in the shipping industry and while he is very ...

Re: marriage for ambivalent brother

Thank you for your response Pem. I would like to learn about the spiritual measure. I know my mother does a special pooja for Venus weekly. Please let me know what you consider appropriate. Any other insight regarding his marriage/spouse will be appreciated greatly.

Thanks again,

Thanks revribhavji. What is the reason for the wait though? It does seem that he also wants to wait that long, but what indications point to a wait?

marriage for ambivalent brother

Hello respected members,

My brother is 28 years old and is rather ambivalent about matrimony. He has been introduced to a number of potential brides all of whom seem to fall short (literally sometimes) in his eyes.

Is there a way to predict when a marriage will come about and the nature of his ...

Re: Some Mundane Questions and Their Ties to Astrology

[quote="Khoo Hock Leong"]Hi Anugeet

Venus and Moon are well placed in Taurus. Ketu in Taurus only enhances them.

Sun+Moon gives royalty.

Sun, however, is enemy to Venus and is in his enemy sign but then Venus being the dispositor of this whole conjunction of planetary bodies, calls the shots.

I ...

Re: Writing

[quote="Khoo Hock Leong"]Hi Aurugeet

Re: Writing

Dear intstud, ChandraLagna, Khoo,

Those are my details, and while I did write two fiction books (one of those e-book types, lost among many others), I'm going into technical writing now. ChandraLagna kindly answered my doubts regarding venturing into the field again.

But yes, far from famous, but ...

Re: Change of career path appropriate?

Dear ChandraLanga,

Thank you!!! This explanation makes so much sense. Particularly since I have no desire what so ever to go back to what I was doing, due to the time away from being a physiotherapist, and a greater interest in writing and communication. It's such a big relief!

Good to know that ...

Re: Change of career path appropriate?

Sujit,

Thanks for the analysis. Does writing as a career show promise (that is the course I hope to join)? I am a physiotherapist, but have had frequent interruptions that make it difficult to sustain interest. When you say Venus is a strong planet, how can I use that to my advantage?

Thanks again ...

Change of career path appropriate?

Respected members,

I have doubts regarding my career path, if there is even one.

Birth details - 9 July 1977, Chennai, 3:32pm

I understand that the placement of the 10th lord in the 8th house of loss causes little gain from career. While I am in healthcare (again, haven't worked since 2010 due ...

Re: Simha lagna Mars effect on the nodes

Sreedhar ji,

Is there any other placement by which to judge longevity in such a chart? Native has Saturn retrograde in 2nd house and mercury in the ninth house. Birth was close to an eclipse (Sun/moon, Jupiter are in Krittika, Venus retrograde in Mrigashira and Ketu in Rohini). Any benefic aspect ...

Re: Simha lagna Mars effect on the nodes

Sreedhar,

Thanks for your explanation.

I meant Mars in first house (Leo) effect on rahu (4th house) and ketu (10th house). Is there an effect? Being that Rahu is debilitated in scorpio and ketu in Taurus, I wanted to know if having Mars in the first house reduces the impact of the nodes somehow ...
